Asian Chicken Salad Clean Eating Recipe Along With Asian Dressing for Chicken Salad
I have been asked for some recipes and I wanted to bring you a version of certain foods we eat on a daily basis but with some creativity that still keeps it in the clean eating realm.
So now that the days are getting warmer and the days will get longer its time to switch up our stews and soups now for lighter fares to fit the season.
With this dish its an Asian inspired recipe that takes (get ready) less than 15 minutes to make but it only has 175 calories for those needed that data.
Now instead of just no nutritional value lettuce I opted for savoy cabbage which is actually used in many Asian dishes.Also, keep in mind savoy has a milder taste than the green cabbage we grew up eating.
This recipe serves about 6 based on the serving size of 1 cup.

Here is the ingredient list for the Asian Chicken Salad:
- 2 chicken breast (skinless) cut into 1″ cubes
- 1 tablespoon of canola oil
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 3 cups shredded Savoy Cabbage
- 2 cups Romaine lettuce, chop it up
- 1 carrot (peel it and slice up)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, lightly toasted
Asian Dressing for Chicken Salad:
- Grab 2 tablespoons of honey
- Squeeze out 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (I use this on my asparagus too soooo good!)
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon squeezed lemon juice
Directions
Heat up your sesame seeds in the non-stick pan over light to medium heat until you can smell them roasting which usually is around 5 minutes.
Now in a bigger skillet add your canola and the sesame oil and keep your flame to medium to high throw your chicken cubes in there and cook them until they are cooked well and crispy (usually about 10 minutes).
While this is cooking grab the ingredients for the dressing and whisk them until they are combined (easy).
By now your chicken should be done and at this point just combine your cooked chicken, cabbage, carrots your salad bowl, drizzle your salad dressing, mix around and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and viola!
